One Day in a Spanish Secondary School

One of the most valuable experiences of the programme is spending one full day at a local Spanish secondary school with students of a similar age.

Students can experience a normal school day, attend lessons alongside Spanish students and discover how secondary education and everyday school life in Spain compare with their own country.

It is also a valuable opportunity to communicate naturally with local teenagers and practise Spanish in a real environment.

School attendance is subject to the Spanish academic calendar and availability of the participating school.

Living with a Spanish Host Family

Students stay with carefully selected Spanish host families on a full-board basis.

They are normally accommodated in pairs, so they can share the experience with another student from their school group while becoming part of everyday Spanish family life.

Living with a local family gives students the opportunity to experience Spanish routines, meals and family life and to practise the language naturally outside organised activities.

Our families understand the needs of young international students and our local team provides support throughout the stay.

Discover Murcia

Murcia gives international students the opportunity to discover a different side of Spain, away from the country’s most traditional mass-tourism destinations.

The city has a rich history influenced by different cultures and civilisations. Students can discover its Cathedral, historic streets, museums, markets and traditional squares while learning about the development of the city over the centuries.

Murcia is also a lively university city where students can experience contemporary Spanish culture and everyday life.

Its location in Southeast Spain makes it possible to combine the city experience with excursions to the Mediterranean coast, Cartagena and other important destinations in the Region of Murcia.

More information about the destination is available from the official Region of Murcia Tourism website.

Cartagena and the Mediterranean Coast

Schools can add an excursion to Cartagena, one of the most historically interesting cities in Southeast Spain.

Its Roman heritage, historic harbour and famous Roman Theatre make it particularly suitable for educational school visits.

The Region of Murcia also has a Mediterranean coastline that allows schools to combine cultural activities with beach experiences and, depending on the season and weather conditions, activities such as surf and paddle surf.

A Flexible Programme for Each School

Every school group is different. For this reason, our School Group Programmes in Spain can be adapted according to the students’ ages, interests, language level, educational objectives and available budget.

Schools can choose a programme focused primarily on cultural immersion or add further excursions, sports and recreational activities.

We work with teachers before arrival to organise the itinerary and coordinate the different elements of the stay.
